Imitation in writing
WitrynaImitation is the copying of a novel behavior. Arbitrary or unusual activity by the demonstrator leads to the emittance of similar, previously unemitted behavior by the observer. The target behavior should not already be part of the observer's repertoire. However, ruling out the prior existence of a behavior is usually difficult. WitrynaIt takes imitation to task for a lack of freedom and personal expression. And yet, effective communication from writer to reader always requires some sort of form and structure. Many of history’s greatest writers learned by imitation. In other words, writing takes the same kind of determined study as ballet or diving.
